Analysis of environmental aspects of ship operation during the navigation period
Abstract
The life cycle of the ship consists of stages – design, construction, operation, recycling. The article considers the sources of anthropogenic load of the ship on the environment, as well as the requirements of classification societies for measures to protect the environment from the activities of the ship. The analysis of the issues considered made it possible to establish environmental aspects at the stage of "designing" the life cycle of the ship and to identify processes and operations at the stage of "operation" related to the navigation period of the ship, for which it is also possible to apply these environmental aspects. For the designated environmental aspects, the relevant environmental impacts and the parameters by which their impact on the environment is limited are determined.
